QUEZON CITY โ€“ The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and its network of training centers have successfully renewed their ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certification following a repeat audit conducted across its operating units from September 7 to 25, 2026.

The audit assessed ATIโ€™s compliance with the certification requirements and applicable regulations. It also examined the effectiveness of its quality management system in achieving its objectives, along with process controls, management responsibilities, internal audits, management review, and areas for improvement.

The scope of certification covers the development and provision of trainings, knowledge products and services; accreditation of extension services providers; scholarships; alliance building; and national extension system planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

This yearโ€™s audit covered ATI operating units, including the Central Office, Regional Training Centers in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Eastern Visayas, Davao, and Caraga, and the International Training Center on Pig Husbandry.ย

As part of the audit, the ATI Management was assessed on their strategic direction, plans, and programs, particularly their planning, implementation, and monitoring. Meanwhile, the Information Services, Human Resource Management and Training, Career Development Management, Property and Supply Management, and Partnership and Accreditation offices underwent assessment of their respective functions, including the implementation of established procedures, maintenance of relevant documentation and records, and compliance with applicable requirements.

The assessment also reviewed ATIโ€™s service and management processes, including actions taken on previous audit findings, customer and external complaints, operational controls, organizational changes, and the use of certification marks and references. These helped assess how the quality management system was implemented and identify areas for corrective action and improvement.

The recertification audit identified nine minor nonconformities and eight opportunities for improvement, with no major nonconformities detected. The concerned operating units were given time to submit corrective actions addressing the identified findings.

The renewal of the ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects ATIโ€™s continuing efforts to maintain an effective quality management system and support the consistent delivery of quality training, knowledge products, and services to its stakeholders.
