The International Farm Youth Exchange (IFYE) Philippines, Inc. marked a significant milestone as it successfully hosted the 2nd National Conference and the 1st Asia-Pacific Meeting last July 22 to 24, at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
The activity was participated around 50 4H Club and IFYE members from the Philippines, Thailand, and Taiwan. It served as an avenue to enhance participants’ knowledge and awareness of innovations relevant to agricultural programs, while also strengthening their commitment in promoting collaboration among the said countries.
During the opening program, ATI Director Remelyn R. Recoter expressed her support for the IFYE delegates. “Explore cutting-edge solutions, be it smart farming technologies, sustainable resource management, or inclusive rural policies. By sharing experiences and insights, may you return home better equipped to lead change and inspire others. Likewise, treat this event as an opportunity for IFYE members from the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand to foster leadership and enhance their skills through this collaborative undertaking,” Recoter emphasized in his speech.
A major highlight of the event was the organizational meeting held during the opening program where delegates collaborated on planning both local and international initiatives to be pursued in the coming months. These plans reflect a shared commitment to empowering rural youth and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
Participants also engaged in meaningful exchanges of knowledge and best practices through the 4-H and IFYE programs, creating fertile ground for shaping future youth development policies and initiatives.
As the conference concluded, delegates reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative growth and innovation, setting the tone for a more connected and empowered Asia-Pacific IFYE community.
