SILANG, CAVITE — The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), together with the National Private Agriculture and Fisheries-Extension Service Provider (PAF-ESP) Council, recommended accreditation to the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) as its National Extension Service Provider.
IIRR signified its interest to be accredited as ATI’s extension service provider for agriculture and fisheries at the national level. After undergoing the accreditation process, the validation team recommended IIRR as one of its National Regular PAF-ESP.
The validation team was composed of representatives of the PAF-ESP Council - Ma. Erlina C. Go from Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Dr. Agnes C. Perey from Tarlac Agricultural University, and Romermart Aubigne Peñamora, Development Management Officer III of ATI. They were accompanied by National PAF-ESP Secretariat Alliah Lyn P. Ditche and Ericca Mae V. Manilog of ATI.
The accreditation process was conducted last June 24 to 25, 2026, in Silang, Cavite, where representatives from IIRR served as respondents. Part of the process was the ocular inspection and verification of the legal, technical and financial documents to support their capacity to serve as an extension service provider.
Human Resources Coordinator Maita Alida Ordoñez presented the extensive network of affiliations of IIRR with both local and international organizations. She reiterated that their programs and activities were in alignment with the ATI’s extension services and thus, they expressed their strong willingness to utilize these networks to expand the knowledge, training, and development opportunities for their local stakeholders.
Consequently, based on the institution's demonstrated capacity and compliance standards, the National PAF-ESP Council officially recommended accreditation to the IIRR as National Regular PAF-ESP of the ATI, provided that it complies with the specified other requirements by August 23, 2026.
