Overview:

In FY 2025, the Department of Agriculture–Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) advanced the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Extension (AFE) system through a year marked by resilience, innovation, and strategic partnerships. Operating under a standardized, competency-based Curriculum Framework, the Institute successfully aligned its capacity-building initiatives with the DA’s Ten Key Strategies and the BIPEDS framework to promote data-driven and precise agricultural decision-making.

Key Highlights

  • Training Deployment: Successfully implemented 2,201 training programs nationwide.
  • Stakeholder Reach: Upskilled 63,485 participants, including 45,238 farmers and fisherfolk and 12,412 agricultural extension workers (AEWs).
  • Operational Scope: Deployed activities across eight national banner programs using an integrated model covering climate-resilient agriculture, digitization (e.g., Digital Farmers Program), and full commodity value chains.

Moving forward, ATI will continue to leverage its curriculum framework to innovate the extension system, accelerate technology adoption, and empower stakeholders to build resilient, profitable agricultural enterprises for a food-secure Philippines.
