DILIMAN, Quezon City – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) recently conducted “KEEPING ON TRACK: ATI’s FY 2025 Annual Review and FY 2026 Commitment Signing for Rice and Other Banner Programs” from January 26 to 28, 2026, at The Hive Hotel.

The event served as a platform to review past milestones and set commitments for a more modernized 2026. It also provided an opportunity to present the Institute’s updated policy directions, highlighted by the adoption of the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) BIPEDS framework, which anchors all initiatives in building infrastructure, production, exports, digitalization, and service.

During the program, Director Remelyn Recoter emphasized ATI’s focus on evidence-based decision-making, noting, “Every program we implement must be guided by accurate information to ensure real, measurable impact for our partners.” She highlighted the integration of Stakeholders’ Needs Assessments into ATI’s planning to ensure initiatives respond to actual needs on the ground.

Meanwhile, Assistant Director Antonieta Arceo emphasized that the Institute is undergoing a significant "mindset shift" to meet the evolving demands of the sector. “Managing agriculture is no longer just about planting more; it is about how we handle our data. We are encouraging a culture of real-time reporting to ensure our decisions are as precise as they are impactful,” she said.

Breakout sessions were conducted for each section, providing specialized technical guidance to address specific needs of the Institute. The sessions also reviewed physical accomplishments and financial performance, highlighting ATI’s achievements and identifying key areas for improvement.

ATI’s key leaders later formally sealed their respective Work and Financial Plans (WFPs) during the FY 2026 Commitment Signing, reaffirming the Institute’s pledge to keep rural youth, women, farmers, and fishers at the heart of the national agricultural agenda.

The ceremony also celebrated the graduates of the Resource Person Development Course (RPDC), who are now fully equipped to uphold ATI’s standards in training and extension services.

In closing, the contributions of the Evaluation Reference Group from the Training Centers were honored, underscoring the collective expertise that drives ATI’s mission forward.
