The Department of Agriculture Extension Support, Education and Training Technical Management Team (DA ESET-TMT) convened its FY 2026 Organizational Meeting on March 25, 2026 via Zoom to set the direction of the clusterโ€™s extension initiatives for the year.

Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Director and DA ESET Chairperson Remelyn R. Recoter led the meeting, with 39 representatives from various DA member agencies in attendance. As the clusterโ€™s first activity for the year, the meeting strengthened coordination and aligned priorities across agencies.

In her message, Director Recoter emphasized the need to continue coordination and introduce new approaches to ensure that extension efforts remain relevant to farmers and fisherfolk.

The meeting focused on the presentation of the proposed FY 2027 cluster outputs developed during the Organizational and Harmonization Workshop in November 2024. These include the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) 2.0 and Social Return on Investment (SROI) Synergy framework, the Agri-Fisheries Enterprise (AFE) clustering approach, and the AgriTrack Mobile Application for real-time livestock data tracking and market coordination.

To support these initiatives, the group identified key action points, including integrating new monitoring tools into existing systems, refining guidelines for clustering approaches, and supporting the rollout of digital applications. Members also agreed to conduct an inventory of digital initiatives to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of efforts.

The meeting also initiated preparations for the National Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Services (NAFES) Month in October 2026, with agencies encouraged to participate in selecting the official theme and proposed activities.

Overall, the activity reaffirmed the commitment of DA ESET-TMT member agencies to strengthen collaboration, introduce new approaches, and improve extension services for a more resilient and food-secure agriculture and fisheries sector.
