DILIMAN, Quezon City — The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), through the Policy and Planning Division (PPD), conducted a three-day Technical Guidance Session on UnExSys Component 2 User Training from March 24 to 26, 2026 to support a more connected Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries (AF) Extension System.
Planning Officers and Monitoring and Evaluation Officers from the ATI Central Office and Training Centers participated in the activity.
Through guided discussions, system walkthroughs, and hands-on workshops, participants used the core functionalities of UnExSys Component 2, including data encoding, validation, and generation of workplans, as well as physical and financial accomplishment reports. The session also covered system modules, data requirements, user roles, and reporting timelines, and included the preparation and submission of the 2026 Work and Financial Plan through the platform.
In her message, Director Remelyn R. Recoter emphasized the importance of digitalization in strengthening planning, monitoring, and evaluation across the extension system. She highlighted the need for accurate and complete data, including Agricultural Extension Worker (AEW) profiles and regional agriculture and fisheries information, to support decision-making and improve program implementation. She also cited Senate Bill 1991, which seeks to establish a Bureau of Agricultural Extension and strengthen coordination and field support.
The session equipped participants to effectively use UnExSys Component 2 in managing planning and monitoring data, reinforcing ATI’s role as the knowledge hub of the AF extension system.
