Ortigas, PASIG CITY - Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Director Remelyn R. Recoter joined national government representatives at the Local Governance Capacity Development Partners Forum on February 11, 2026, at Privato Hotel, Ortigas, Pasig City. Organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government -ย Local Government Academy (DILG-LGA), the forum brought together agencies with capacity development mandates to align strategies in strengthening Local Government Units (LGUs).
The forum brought together representatives from national government agencies tasked with building LGU manpower capacities. It served as a platform to foster greater understanding and alignment of capacity development efforts, especially in the full implementation of devolved functions.
In her presentation, Director Recoter emphasized ATIโs role as the Department of Agricultureโs (DA) training arm, capacity builder, and knowledge bank. She highlighted programs that capacitate LGU agricultural extension workers with technical knowledge, responsive extension services, and practical tools to strengthen local governance in agriculture. These initiatives, she noted, are designed to uplift farmers and fisherfolk by ensuring that LGUs are equipped to deliver inclusive and resilient services.
The Partners Forum was convened to share best practices and explore partnerships among agencies. ATIโs involvement reaffirms its commitment to advancing DA-aligned capacity development strategies, particularly in agricultural extension and knowledge services - contributing to the collective goal of empowering LGUs and enhancing local governance nationwide.
