DILIMAN QUEZON CITY โ Twenty-two interns of the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) Batch 2025 completed their international training following a post-evaluation and re-entry planning activity held on February 20โ23, 2026, at the Maria Orosa Training Hall of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).
In his welcome message, Mr. Joeven C. Calasagsag, OIC-Chief of the Partnerships and Accreditation Division (PAD) of ATI, welcomed the interns and underscored the role of the youth as they bring the knowledge and skills gained from their internship in Japan back to their respective communities.
As part of the activity, the interns attended lectures on the establishment of Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) and the conceptualization of Farm Development Plans (FDP) to guide them in preparing their agribusiness proposals. The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Romermart Aubigne M. Peรฑamora, Section Chief of the Alliance Building and Extension Service Provider Accreditation and Compliance (ABESPAC).
A post-evaluation and assessment activity was also conducted, facilitated by Ms. Mary Joy Linaac, Agriculturist II, to gather feedback and document key learning and experiences from the program.
The activity likewise included motivational talks from Mr. Michael V. Grande, a graduate of the Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA), and Mr. Robert N. Diesta, a 2019 YFFLTPJ alumnus, who shared their journey from interns to entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, the program culminated in a Graduation Ceremony held on February 22, 2026, where ATI Director Remelyn R. Recoter emphasized the graduatesโ role as the next generation of farm leaders in advancing the agricultural sector toward prosperity and sustainability. โMany are called, but few are chosen,โ she said.
Certificates of Completion were awarded to the graduates after successfully completing all phases of the internship program. Ms. Florian Mendoza De Guzman (Region IV-B), Mr. Delmar Morello Buenaobra (Region VIII), Mr. Edgar Jr. Silvano Madulin (Region XI), and Mr. Genesis Jaectin Undaloc (Region IX) delivered their impressions during the ceremony.
Lastly, the intern-graduates will receive after-training support amounting to Fifty Thousand Pesos (PHP 50,000.00) as capital for their chosen agri-enterprises, while the top three (3) proposals will receive additional support amounting to One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (PHP 150,000.00).
