Featured in Agri Asenso last August 16,Michael Grande, a young farmer from Bataan shared how his agricultural journey began with a life-changing training from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in 2022.
Through the Binhi ng Pag-asa Program, he discovered the realities of farming and found inspiration during a leadership workshop that made him ask, “Bakit nga ba hindi ako maging magsasaka?”
With no formal background, Michael relied on ATI’s training programs to build his skills. Starting with just 12 Dekalb Brown chickens, he applied what he learned and began managing their family land—now known as Grande Integrated Farm.
Today, he serves as the Provincial President of the 4-H Club in Bataan, proving that with passion, purpose, and the right support, young Filipinos can succeed in agriculture and help build a food-secure future.
