The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) has completed its planning journey for the FY 2027 Plans and Budget Proposals, steering toward innovation, efficiency, and results-based interventions.

From August to September 2025, the institute held a series of technical reviews and planning workshops across key locations—Legazpi City, Puerto Princesa City, and Zamboanga City—culminating in a final hybrid session in Quezon City.

Facilitated by the Policy and Planning Division, the workshops engaged ATI Training Centers and Central Office units in refining proposed programs and activities (PAPs) using the Online Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation System (OPMES).

Director Remelyn R. Recoter stressed the importance of aligning ATI’s PAPs with the Department of Agriculture’s priorities, focusing on climate resiliency, agrifood system transformation, and making agriculture more profitable for farmers and stakeholders.

Assistant Director Antonieta J. Arceo echoed this, emphasizing that all proposals must be purposeful, results-based, and in line with the ATI Training Curriculum Framework.

To visualize the process, ATI likened the planning journey to a nautical voyage:

  • The Compass set the direction for central programs.
  • The Telescope anticipated future needs for the Luzon Cluster.
  • The Astrolabe kept Visayas and Mindanao balanced.
  • The Map represented the consolidated FY 2027 Work and Financial Plan.

Through this collective effort, ATI strengthened collaboration across its network, refined planning practices, and set a clear course for advancing Philippine agriculture.###
