𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲

SAN JUAN CITY — The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), alongside the Move to Change Foundation, Inc. (M2C), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)  as an official Learning Site for Agriculture I (LSA), marking a key milestone in urban farming. 

The event kicked-off with inspiring talks that underscored a shared commitment to purpose, service, and community impact. First up was Chef Jayson Gaspar Maulit, owner and founder of Trining’s Kitchen Stories and Namnama, who delivered a dynamic session on "Cultivating Change: Youth Power in Agriculture." He rallied the audience—primarily culinary students—around the potential of young people to drive agricultural innovation.

Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III was also invited as keynote speaker. She followed with her presentation on "Cultivating Resilient Cities through Sustainable Food Systems and Agriculture." She emphasized supporting local farmers as a vital solution to rising food insecurity, urging attendees to become active participants in building resilient urban ecosystems.

Moreover, the afternoon shifted to a ceremonial highlight, celebrating M2C's status as the first LSA in San Juan City's urban core and the eighth in Metro Manila. This partnership strengthens efforts in urban agriculture, youth leadership, and food security across the region.

The ceremony continued with the awarding of the LSA Certificate, presentation of a cheque for financial assistance to fuel ongoing agricultural programs, and an official unveiling of a LSA tarpaulin. These moments highlighted a unified push for inclusive development, sustainable practices, and youth empowerment in Metro Manila.

The signatories included M2C founder Ms. Ma. Belen Flordeliza A. Abaya; farm manager Ms. Lenchen M. Lorico; Prime Mover and Team Member Mr. Make Lee B. Babaran; and Dir. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III.

Likewise, M2C and the Nourishment Movement (NaMa) held the grand launching of NaMa, a bold initiative to empower communities through sustainable food systems, youth engagement, and food security.

The program drew founders of NaMa, Mr. Eldrin Lee and Ms. Skyrene Bacalso, along with interns, guests, and culinary students. Followed by an interactive farm tour and certificate awards for the speakers. 

This recognition positions Brgy. Little Baguio as a model for urban farming, inspiring similar initiatives amid growing challenges like food insecurity.
