The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) participated in the Usapang Agribiz: Forum on Agribusiness Opportunities in the Philippines for Overseas Filipino Workers, held on June 28, 2025 in Macau at Sofitel Macau, and on June 29, 2025 in Hong Kong at the DMW-OWWA OFW Global Center in Admiralty.

Spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture – Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS), the forum gathered over 100 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to explore agribusiness and investment opportunities in the Philippines. The event featured insightful presentations and success stories from former OFWs who have successfully ventured into agribusiness. It also highlighted various government programs designed to support aspiring agri-preneurs.

Representing ATI was Ms. Ladylyn Jose, Information Systems Researcher II, who joined other government agencies including the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) in providing guidance and information on available support services for OFWs interested in agricultural enterprise development.

This forum served as a meaningful platform for empowering OFWs, encouraging them to rediscover the potential of agriculture as a viable and sustainable livelihood option. It also reinforced the government’s commitment to supporting our modern-day heroes in building a secure and productive future through agribusiness.
