DILIMAN, Quezon City – Anchored on its mission to empower farmers and fisherfolk and accelerate rural development, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) convened its division, center, section, and unit heads from the Central Office and its network of Regional Training Centers (RTCs) for their FY 2025 First Semester Performance Review.
The activity served as a strategic mid-journey assessment to evaluate progress, recalibrate strategies, and ensure alignment with its annual targets as the Institute remains steadfast as a catalyst for agricultural transformation.
“To ensure our performance evaluation remains relevant and robust, we will align the assessment of Training Centers with the Department's Performance Appreciation System. This alignment will incorporate key dimensions of accountability, with physical and financial performance each accounting for 40% of the evaluation,” ATI Director Engr. Remelyn Recoter said.
The assessment highlighted ATI’s first-semester accomplishments, covering both physical and financial performance. Reports showcased the tangible outcomes of training programs, capacity-building initiatives, and extension services particularly those that advanced sustainable practices and improved the livelihoods of farmers and fisherfolk.
On the financial front, ATI recorded an obligation of Php 1.192 billion, equivalent to 71.26% of the total allocation, alongside a cash utilization of Php 1.09 billion, or 88.2% of total cash received. The review also put the spotlight on notable innovations, partnerships, and milestone contributions, while candidly addressing implementation challenges and laying out concrete recommendations for improvement.
Overall, the activity reaffirmed ATI’s commitment to operational efficiency and responsive service delivery. The agreements and directives crafted during the review will serve as a roadmap for the remainder of FY 2025 and beyond, ensuring ATI continues to deliver on its promise of being present “Anywhere” reaching every farmer, fisherfolk, and community that depends on its support.
“We will revisit existing indicators to ensure alignment with current policies, address emerging challenges and opportunities, and incorporate compliance with newly enacted laws. This comprehensive review will help ensure that our performance metrics accurately reflect evolving priorities, thereby fostering greater accountability and effectiveness across all centers,” Recoter added.
The FY 2025 First Semester Performance Review was held last July 21 to 24 at the Zuri Hotel, Iloilo City and was spearheaded by the Policy and Planning Division and hosted by ATI Western Visayas. ###
