DILIMAN, Quezon City β The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) formally recognized 30 of its personnel as Core Resource Persons during the ATIβs Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Annual Performance Review and FY 2026 Commitment Signing on January 28, 2026 at Hive Hotel and Convention, Scout Tuason.
The recognition marked the successful completion of the Resource Person Development Course (RPDC), a strategic capacity-building initiative rolled out in 2025 to strengthen ATIβs pool of competent and effective resource persons. Through the RPDC, selected ATI staff transitioned from learners to Core Resource Persons, equipped to deliver high-quality training and extension services across the ATI network.
Of the 30 Core Resource Persons, 20 specialized in Basic Agricultural Extension (BAE), while 10 focused on Extension Management (EM). Through a competency-based training approach, participants deepened their understanding of key concepts and further honed their skills as trainers.
The RPDC followed a structured three-phase learning journey. Phase I consisted of input sessions and workshops designed to strengthen foundational competencies. Phase II focused on mastery demonstration and assessment, allowing participants to showcase their facilitation skills in simulated training environments. Phase III, the practicum, provided participants with the opportunity to serve as resource persons by delivering sessions to actual training participants.
The evaluation results reflected a level of preparedness, mastery of subject matter, and good facilitation skills, affirming their capability to serve as effective resource persons in future BAE and EM activities.
More than just a training program, the RPDC represents ATIβs investment in its people, its commitment to institutional excellence, and a significant step toward strengthening its pool of competent and credible resource persons.Β
