An Orientation and Planning Workshop for the Implementation of the Farmer Field School (FFS) under the Rice Program was held on May 13, 2025, at ATI-RTC 10, Poblacion, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. This was participated by the Rice Program Coordinators from the different municipalities in the Province of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Lanao del Norte.
The activity aimed to align the objectives, strategies, and implementation plans of FFS to the stakeholders in order to enhance the knowledge and skills of rice farmers through experiential learning and community-based extension approaches. During the workshop, the coordinators presented their FFS curriculums, cropping calendars, proposed study titles, along with their future plans and identified strategies. OIC-Assistant Center Director, Efren C. Macario CPA; and Senior Agriculturist, Javier P. Andalan; Development Management Officer II and ATI-RTC X Rice Focal Person, Jhoylie Mae R. Caumban, served as panelists and provided valuable comments and suggestions for improvement.
