The efforts to improve the lives of poor and marginalized farmers in the region intensifies this year. As part of this initiative, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center X has started a Training of Trainers program on Coconut Production and Management on March 11, 2024.
The goal of the activity is to enhance the knowledge and skills of Agriculture Extension Workers and Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) operators on various steps, processes, and theories related to the coconut value chain. The program is being attended by 27 participants who will be engaged in activities such as preparatory work in coconut production, coconut plantation and management, and harvesting to post-harvesting.
The training will run from March 11-22, 2024, at one of the coconut-based LSAs in the region, the Buhian Diversified Farm in Apas, Initao, Misamis Oriental.###
