An optimized and upgraded Rice Crop Manager (RCM) application, now, RCM Advisory Services (RCMAS) 4.0 is taking on the Northern Mindanao as the Agricultural Training Institute-RTC X conducts the Training of Trainers on RCMAS. The activity starts on May 16, 2023 at TESDA-Valencia, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
The ongoing activity is being attended by 20 Agriculture Extension Workers, from the municipalities in Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental and Lanao del Norte with Farmers Information and Technology Services Centers in the region.
The training will involve mostly on the operation and navigation of the rebuild version of RCMAS from user registration , and field registration using GPS device to the conduct of field interviews and farm lot registration, and the generation of farm recommendation.
RCM is the core web-based application of RCMAS, made for agriculture extension in the country. It aims to provide farmers with a field-specific and nutrient management recommendation. To complement RCM and maximize its benefits to farmers, RCMAS 4.0 combines the following services: farmer and farm lot registration, geo-referencing of farm lots, generation and printing of farmer ID cards, sending of automatically generated text messages to farmers' mobile phone numbers, and farm monitoring.
