843 students graduate in e-Learning courses

The ATI-RTC X spearheaded by its Information Services Section (ISS) conducted a virtual graduation for the 843 students who completed various e-courses in 2021 through the e-Learning of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

The e-Learning component of the e-Extension program, is an online learning platform that offers e-courses on agriculture and fisheries designed for students, farmers, fishers, agricultural extension workers and enthusiasts.  However, last year, the program took some downtime due to its upgrading, system maintenance, as well as updating of the e-courses.

From the 843 graduates, 747 of which were students from Central Mindanao University (CMU) while 96 were from the Misamis Occidental National High School.

Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez congratulated the students and commended their hard work and efforts to finish their enrolled e-courses.

“May you continue your learning journey in life, apply and use your learnings to your personal undertakings, and share your knowledge to others and this platform so that it can serve as an avenue for them to learn as well” Director Echavez added.

Moreover, the center gave a special award to Mr. Jeaff Abenoja, a BS Agriculture student from Central Mindanao University for having the most number of e-learning courses completed.

“I gained a lot of knowledge and skills from the 22 e-learning courses that I have finished. It taught me on how to cultivate some crops as well as additional knowledge on how to manage livestock which is very important for me as an Animal Science student” Mr. Abenoja said.

“The platform also allows us to interact and connect with other students, farmers, and experts” he added.

During the activity, the center also gave award to the Farmers Information Technology Services (FITS) Center in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental National High School, and Mr. Keemple Mark T. Darap of Central Mindanao University for being partners of ATI in facilitating the e-learning.

This year, the e-Learning portal will continue its scheduled maintenance and upgrading that will focus on building a friendlier and dynamic experience for the learners. # (JAJ)
