To strengthen the Halal food sector in the country, the Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) conducted a Halal Coordination Meeting.
The agenda included discussions on the Philippine Halal industry, sharing of Halal programs and best practices, the process of applying as a Halal-compliant farm, and a planning workshop for 2027.
OIC–Assistant Center Director Efren C. Macario, in his opening remarks, underscored the importance of the meeting in promoting sustainable growth and business engagement in the Halal food industry. Present during the meeting were DA-RFO X Division Chief and Halal Focal Person Dr. Luz I. Guzman, Engr. Abdul Harris M. Paporo, Chief of DA Provincial Operations Center in Lanao del Norte; Dr. Indihra B. Dimaporo-Tawantawan, Superintendent of MSU-LNA; local government Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from Lanao del Norte, Halal advocates, and Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) operators.
Agriculturist II and Halal Point Person Jeric L. Cabatac acknowledged the participants, while Project Officer and Technical Support Staff Engr. Abdul Azis Y. Abdul Nasser delivered the activity overview.
