To help instill a business mindset and improve existing farm enterprises among coconut farmers in Northern Mindanao, the ATI-RTC X officially launched batch 2 of its season-long Coconut Farm Business School (FBS) training in Kadingilan, Bukidnon.
The five-month program convened 30 coconut farmers registered under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS).
Present during the launching were Training Specialist II and CFIDP Focal Noriel Kris O. Santillan, Dormitory Manager II Anthonette June D. Russel, Municipal Agriculturist Ysmael V. Orpilla of Kadingilan, Bukidnon, and Agriculture Technician Noli John Casanes.
Mr. Santillan emphasized the need to transform farms into sustainable enterprises, encouraging farmers to move beyond copra production and explore value-added coconut processing that could double or triple their income.
