Camiguin Province, CAMIGUIN---A turn-over of a cheque worth 10 million pesos to the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Camiguin through Governor Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, transpired recently for the funding of 30 Sow-Level Swine Multiplier and Techno-Demo Farm Project.
The said project, which is under the National Livestock Program and INSPIRE, aims to provide a sustainable and eligible source of quality hogs that would be available to the local farmers to help hasten recovery and restoration of livelihoods affected by the pandemic and ASF through hog production.

Representing the center is Center Director Maria Lydia Adviento Echavez along with OIC-Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth Macario.
Center Director Maria Lydia Adviento Echavez conducted a scholarship briefer and orientation for ATI's Educational Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsY Agri) Scholarship Program to the Vice President for Academic Affairs/OIC, Dr. Nena Siaboc, alongside Dr. Cerenia Galagar, Extension Coordinator, and Ms. Renilyn Magbunag, Budget officer of Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSP), Mambajao Campus.
The said activity intended to strengthen the linkage between ATI-RTC X and CPSC in providing support to the incoming academic scholars from the province of Camiguin. Meanwhile, a turn-over of Certificate of Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) to Mr. Herculano E. Cocamas of Cocamas Farm took place at Tacangon, Poblacion, Mahinog, Camiguin. Center Director Echavez also discussed some of the programs of the center to the farmers and extension workers present during the Information Caravan held at the Provincial Capitol of Camiguin.
In a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last June 22, Center Director Echavez presented and discussed the scope of the swine multiplier project, other project interventions, scholarship, as well as the programs and services of the ATI.
The said project is part of the Department of Agricultureโs swine repopulation and recovery program and in support of the province's efforts to continuously curb the proliferation of African Swine Fever (ASF) on the island.
Present during the MOA signing was Provincial Veterinarian Lordgin V. Gamo, SP Chairman in Agriculture Louis S. Bollosos, and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Leonides G.
