The Learning Site for Agriculture (LSAs) in Region 10 together with Regional LSA/ALSEA President Henry S. Binahon, Ms. Marie Grace N. Halibas (LSA 10 Secretary, ALSEA), Mr. Kevin Fernan (Chief Focal, City Agriculture Office of Iligan), AKO BAKWIT Chair Samira Ali Gutoc, and other LSA-10 representatives took the initiative to present today and proposed for a 1st National LSA Conference to the ATI-RTC X with Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez, OIC-Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario, and Partnership and Accreditation Section (PAS) Chief Javier P. Andalan.
The activity is proposed to be conducted in Iligan City in October 2024 and cater to at least 500 LSA Operators coming from all regions in the country.
It aims to create a dialogue between the group of farmers and the national policymakers and to align both initiatives at the local and national levels to attain national food security and sustainable agriculture. (text and photo furnished by: Cristine A. Galupo, Agriculturist II)
