Poblacion, El Salvador City---Twenty-five participants from the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, and Bukidnon successfully completed the Resource Person Development Course intended for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW). The resource persons during the training were all from ATI-RTC X, namely: Noemi Beth G. Macario, CESE and OIC-Assistant Center Director, Teodosia D. Jaraba, Training Specialist III, Maria Eloisa A. Akut, OIC-Chief ISS, Elton Daryl A. Lignes, Network Controller and Antoinette June D. Russel, Dormitory Manager II.
During the opening program, OIC-Assistant Center Director Macario delivered the welcome address. In her message, she emphasized the importance of the training in that the main job is to teach knowledge and technology to other clients. She reminded everyone to keep learning and growing, especially that extension is dynamic and not confined to the four walls of the room. She expressed her gratitude to all the participants especially their Local Chief Executives for sending them to attend the training.
Topics discussed were the Situating RP Development in the Training Cycle, RP Tasks, and Desirable Characteristics as discussed by Mr. Lignes. This was followed by Responsible Adult Communication and Adult Learning Strategies discussed by Ms. Macario.
During the second day of training, the participants were taught how to develop a topic presentation plan which was discussed by Ms. Jaraba, and how to introduce and end a topic which was discussed by Ms. Russel. Also, Ms. Akut discussed Presentation Skills, while Lignes discussed Situational Leadership and Instructional Materials Development. All the speakers used a variety of teaching methods such as individual and group workshops and lots of sharing of experiences of the participants.

During the closing ceremony, three participants expressed their impressions for the whole duration of the training. They also expressed their gratitude to the ATI-RTC X Management, resource persons, facilitators, and co-participants.
A special award was given to the participant with the highest increment in learning and the best presenter in micro-teaching. Ms. Macario delivered the closing message, she expressed her hopes that everyone will go out of the room as the best resource persons but most importantly a better version of themselves.
