ATI Headquarters, Elliptical Road, Quezon City – A send-off ceremony was held at the ATI-RDEC Function Hall in Diliman, Quezon City, on Tuesday, April 8, to bid farewell to 23 young Filipino farmers, including two representatives from Northern Mindanao. Mr. Louie Sagayon Burbano Jr. and Mr. Emiel John Violon from Bukidnon are among the exceptional young farmers set to participate in an 11-month internship under the Young Filipino Farmers Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ).

The YFFLTPJ is a collaborative initiative between the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC), designed to equip the next generation of Filipino agricultural leaders with hands-on experience in Japan's advanced farming technologies and practices. After completing their pre-departure orientation, the young farmers are ready to learn from Japanese experts from April 2025 to February 2026.
Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez attended the ceremony, extending full support to the Northern Mindanao delegates. This program aims to empower these young farmers as future leaders in Philippine agriculture, enhancing their knowledge and skills in modern agricultural techniques.
