Poblacion, EL SALVADOR CITY---The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 10 (ATI-RTC 10) capacitated 25 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) through an extension delivery system training held on October 25-27, 2023 at the ATI Training Hall, Poblacion, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
This training aimed to improve the pluralistic extension system of Northern Mindanao by capacitating the extension workers from attached Local Government Units (LGU), the provincial office, and regional field office.
Participants from Misamis Oriental and Lanao del Norte attended the event. They were mentored with the following topics like Introduction of Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Extension Approaches, Strategies and Methods, Agricultural Extension Communication, Presentation Skills and Preparing Effective Presentation Materials, and ATI Digital Extension.
A simulated micro-teaching was conducted for the training through a paneled 5-minute delivery of their topics. Each attendee actively participated in the said activity.
“Conduct yourself just like a half-emptied bottle – make room for improvement. As an improved and innovative AEWs, you all have a vital role in helping the lives of our farmers”, Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez said in her closing message.
