Twenty-five (25) participants from the different municipalities of the Province of Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro City in different group discussions, lectures, workshops and presentations during the three-day Training of Trainers on Training Management for RBOs and 4H Club Coordiators (Batch 1) held on September 13-15, 2022 at NMACLRC, Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

This training aims to empower and equip the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs)/4-H Club Coordinators with the essential knowledge and skills to organize and manage training effectively. The course revolved around workshops and discussions and topics that are essential in conducting successful training.

As part of the training’s output, the participants were able to create and present their course training design and module delivery plan, incorporating all the learnings that they have gained during their discussion on the training cycle, facilitation and presentation skills, and extension communication.

Participant, Ms. April Dawn T. Ramos of LGU Kitaotao Bukidnon, says, “It is very important that we are capable of dealing with our clients especially since they are adult learners, and being Agricultural Extension Workers mean having to deal with people of different characteristics.” Ms. Ramos added, that “knowing how to plan and design a training course is essential to be an effective extension worker. Through this, we will become more organized in setting our objectives and goals... The challenge for us now is how will we utilize the knowledge that we have gained here to become efficient and effective AEWs”.

The conducted training is in preparation for the full implementation of Mandanas-Garcia Ruling in which the partner implementers like the AEWs from the Local Government Units (LGU) are expected to deliver quality extension services to their local clients, that are relevant and responsive to the needs of the present time. #
