Clarin, Misamis Occidental---A Groundbreaking Ceremony of the 30 Sow-level Swine Multiplier Techno Demo Farm Project transpired early Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Brgy. Sebasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental which was led by ATI Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez together with Clarin Municipal Mayor Engr. Emeterio D. Roa, Jr.
The said project is under the DA-National Livestock Program (NLP) Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE), which intends to speed up the recovery of the hog sector and promote good swine genetics, ensure the availability, accessibility, and affordability of pork and other pork products.
Present during the activity were OIC-Provincial Agriculture Officer Mercy P. Uy of Misamis Occidental, OIC-Municipal Agriculturist Allan Ramirez of LGU-Clarin, DA-RFO 10 representative Maria Estella L. Jalandoni and other provincial, municipal, and barangay officials.
