Sales and Negotiation Training for Agribusiness Entrepreneurs

The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) successfully hosted a three-day Training Session on Effective Selling and Negotiation Skills from July 15-17, 2024. The event took place at the ATI-RTC X training hall in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, and was attended by a diverse group of participants with a total of 31 participants including Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), Cluster Marketing Officers, Farmer Leaders (FLs), fisherfolk, and technical staff from the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office X (DA-RFO X).

Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario warmly welcomed the participants and set the stage for an engaging and insightful training experience. Project Officer Karlo Jayvert R. Cardente provided an overview of the training, focusing on key areas critical for enhancing participants' selling and negotiation capabilities. The training aimed to equip participants with the skills necessary to strengthen their negotiation and selling abilities as part of a consolidated marketing group. It involved a mix of lecture discussions, workshops, and hands-on activities, creating an interactive and practical learning environment.

The dedicated resource persons, including Ms. Loraine C. Brillantes of DTI Misamis Oriental, Ms. Anthonette June D. Russel of ATI-RTC X, Mr. Edsel James O. Quemado Jr. of Mushroom City, and Ms. Augemgail I. Guzman of ATI-RTC X, imparted their valuable insights and knowledge to the participants, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

The training received support from dedicated management, including Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez and Assistant Center Director Macario, reflecting a collaborative effort. The training concluded with closing remarks by Administrative Officer IV Efren C. Macario, with participants expressing their satisfaction with the comprehensive and practical nature of the sessions. The knowledge and skills gained are expected to significantly impact their roles, contributing to more effective marketing and negotiation practices in the agricultural sector.
