The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X, through the Partnership Accreditation Section, conducted the Training on Nutrient Expert for Cassava Production last August 20-22, 2024 at the TIEZA Gardens of Malasag in Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City.
This training activity represents a strategic initiative to implement the principle of Site-Specific Nutrient Management for Cassava. It employs a combination of cutting-edge tools such as remote sensing, GPS, GSIS System, and yield monitoring to precisely optimize nutrient delivery to cassava plants. These tools are indispensable in effectively assessing the site-specific spatial and temporal requirements for nutrient supplementation.
The training was attended by 26 Agricultural Extension Workers and 4 Cassava Farmers from the region. The discussion of the topics was a collaborative effort between the staff from the center and DA-RFO X.
The training successfully concluded with the generated copies from the software as the final output of the activity.
