Damulog, Bukidnon---The Migcawayan Tribal and Agricultural Cooperative recently celebrated the completion of its members from a comprehensive three-month Farm Business School (FBS) program.
The culmination of this intensive training was a captivating presentation of their business plans to representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA). The cooperative's innovative product line, featuring virgin coconut oil, coco cool juicer, coco vinegar, and coco crispy patties, captivated the audience and showcased the members' newfound entrepreneurial spirit.
The Farm Business School, a collaborative effort among the Migcawayan Cooperative, ATI, and LGU-Damulog, equipped members with the necessary skills and knowledge to launch successful agricultural ventures. The program covered a wide range of topics, including farm management, financial literacy, marketing, and product development.
The graduates' business plans, meticulously crafted during the program, highlighted the potential of their unique coco-based products on their September 5 graduation. The virgin coconut oil, known for its health benefits, is extracted using traditional methods, ensuring its purity and quality. The coco cool juicer, a refreshing and hydrating beverage, offers a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. The coco vinegar, a versatile ingredient for cooking and preserving, provides a natural and flavorful option. Finally, the coco crispy patties, a delicious and nutritious snack, are made with locally sourced ingredients, promoting sustainable practices.
The enthusiastic response from the DTI, ATI, and PCA representatives further solidified the cooperative's bright future. The agencies have expressed their willingness to provide ongoing support and guidance to the Migcawayan Cooperative, including access to resources, training programs, and marketing opportunities.
