Pasay City, Manila – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) proudly celebrated its 38th Founding Anniversary on January 29, 2025, with the official launch of the corporate book titled “Batang Agricultural Extensionist (BAE-2): More Collection of Inspiring Young Farmers’ Stories in Region X.” This seventh installment of ATI Northern Mindanao’s annual publication was unveiled at the prestigious Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

The BAE-2 publication showcases a compelling collection of success stories from young farmers in Region X who are partners of the ATI. Through engaging storytelling, it highlights not only their achievements but also the challenges they have faced, aiming to inspire readers to actively participate in agriculture. This book serves as a testament to the resilience, innovation, and passion exhibited by young farmers and agripreneurs, reinforcing the viewpoint that the future of Philippine agriculture is indeed promising.
Event Highlights
The anniversary celebration reaffirmed ATI's commitment to empowering youth in agriculture under this year’s theme: “Youth in Agriculture: Cultivating Innovations through Partnership.” The event was graced by notable attendees including ATI National Director Remelyn R. Recoter, Assistant Director Antonieta J. Arceo, DA-Undersecretary for Operations Roger V. Navarro, ATI Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez, along with various ATI-Central Office workforce, and division and section chiefs across the networks of 16 ATI regional training centers in the country.
In addition to the book launch, the celebration featured a mural unveiling titled “Ridge to Reef: Chronicles of Technological Development in Agriculture and Fisheries,” which illustrates the evolution of agricultural practices from traditional methods to modern innovations. This mural underscore the significant contributions of youth and women in fostering a sustainable agricultural future.
Upcoming Launches
Following this event, BAE-2 will be officially launched on February 6, 2025, at the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC X) in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. This occasion will also include the cover reveal of two additional publications: “Gastronomica 2: A Second Helping” and “Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) Compendium of Best Practices.” These publications aim to further celebrate and document agricultural innovations and best practices in Northern Mindanao.
