
PANABO CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE - To cap off this year's National Women's Month Celebration (NWMC), ATI-RTC XI conducted a Briefing on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) on March 27, 2025.
Through the mainstreaming of GEDSI into our daily lives, it can foster greater understanding with each other, create a safe and inclusive environment, and promote kindness and respect, regardless of gender, disability, or social identity, especially in the workplace.
During her opening message, Center Director, Ms. Alicia Rose D. Nebreja emhasized that we must listen and learn about GEDSI, for us to know how to effectively integrate it in our trainings and activities.
The resource person, Mrs. Sandilyn B. Bedro, shared her knowledge of the various concepts of GEDSI, including its history, definition, policies, and other related GEDSI issues. She also provided interactive activities to facilitate a better understanding of the briefing.
ATI-RTC XI staffers, along with the student trainees from the University of Southeastern Philippines and Davao Oriental State University who participated expressed their insights and honest reactions on the topics.
This month, ATI-RTC XI participated in and organized several activities, including:
-A Quiz Bee Competition conducted by the Department of Agriculture XI during its NWMC Kick-off Ceremony
-An AgriTalk Webinar titled "Unlocking Profit Potential: Boosting Productivity & Profitability on Dairy Farms," featuring Ms. Eden Valledor, General Manager of NAFAMCO
-Training on GEDSI for members of the Rural Improvement Club
-AgriPadayag, which showcased empowered women in the region such as Ms. Trisha Nicole B. Lastimosa, an alumnus of ATI EAsY Agri scholar, and Ms. Donna Lao-Padre, President and CEO of Lao Integrated Farms, Inc.
-AgriTreats, highlighting innovations created by women
