
Panabo City, Davao del Norte – As a collective effort to foster a unified approach in addressing challenges and maximizing the Davao region's potential within the halal industry, ATI-RTC XI conducted a Halal Coordination Meeting held on May 27, 2025.
This important gathering brought together 25 key participants from the Davao region, including 15 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and 10 Farmer Leaders (FLs). The attendees represented various sectors, such as government agencies, the private sector, certifying bodies, and grassroots farmers. The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress of ongoing halal programs and to identify regional challenges and opportunities.
Through open and inclusive dialogue, the meeting ensured local initiatives remained aligned with the National Halal 2025 Roadmap and its strategic objectives.
The agenda featured in-depth presentations on the Halal 2025 Roadmap, updates from AEWs and FLs on their respective achievements, an engaging open forum, collaborative action planning, and discussions on the way forward.
Participants exchanged valuable insights on improving access to certification, enhancing capacity-building efforts, and boosting market competitiveness, highlighting the critical need for stronger partnerships and support systems.
ATI-RTC XI Center Director, Ms. Alicia Rose D. Nebreja, emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and commitment among all stakeholders to sustain the momentum gained and ensure the successful implementation of the regional action plan.
By bringing together diverse stakeholders and expertise, the meeting laid the foundation for a robust regional action plan that supports national goals and fosters the growth of the halal sector both locally and globally.
