The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) conducted a comprehensive management review on May 31, 2024, in preparation for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Surveillance Audit.

Led by the esteemed Center Director, Ma’am Alicia Rose Nebreja, the session delved deep into the significance of ISO recertification in embedding effective systems and procedures within the institution.

“It is crucial that we grasp the essence of ISO to elevate our preparedness and institutionalize our systems and procedures,” Center Director Nebreja emphasized.

The ISO, renowned for its globally recognized standards ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, and consistency across products, services, and systems, serves as a beacon of commitment to excellence for organizations worldwide.

Assistant Center Director Ms. Olivia Gatus echoed this sentiment, urging staff to view the management review as more than a mere compliance exercise.

“Let’s transcend the notion of compliance and instead ensure our systems, guided by ISO principles, seamlessly integrate and operate effectively,” Assistant Center Director Gatus said.

The entirety of the center's staff actively engaged in an exhaustive analysis encompassing current projects, stakeholder feedback, challenges, and future enhancements aimed at fortifying the center's training services. With a sharp focus on operational refinement, the review scrutinized small-scale innovations to major overhauls, all aimed at aligning operations with ISO standards.

The session roll around the management review from section chiefs, with Mr. Norsaeb B. Lumandong (Admin and Finance Unit), Jerry C. Carpentero (Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit), Lucille B. Camarines (Information Systems Section), Mr. OmarBliss B. Dalam (Partnership and Accreditation Services Section), and Ofelia A. Sanchez (Career and Development Management Section) presenting their respective analyses.

The outcomes of the review promise to serve as guiding beacons, directing ATI-RTC XI in implementing targeted strategies to bolster support for farmers, advocate sustainable agricultural practices, and foster the holistic development of the agricultural sector within the region.
