The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI trained its employees on Inclusive Communication in the Workplace on July 1-3, 2024, at ATI-RTC XI, Datu Abdul Dadia, Panabo City.
Aimed at enhancing workplace inclusivity, the training addressed generational and gender differences, emphasizing their importance in fostering a diverse and respectful work environment. Despite efforts to create inclusive workplaces, age and gender stereotypes persist in many organizations, making this training essential.
The program, attended by all ATI staff members, focused on understanding and managing these differences to encourage collaboration and minimize miscommunication and conflicts. By recognizing and valuing the unique contributions of individuals from different generations and genders, the training aimed to build a culture of inclusivity and mutual respect within ATI-RTC XI.
Key components of the training included discussions on gender and generational inclusivity, sessions on personality development, and team-building activities. These activities were designed to develop skilled communicators committed to inclusivity, thereby enhancing teamwork and creating a more harmonious and productive work environment.
An unexpected outcome of the program was its role as an emotional healing encounter for many participants. The training sessions provided a platform for addressing and resolving past misunderstandings, leading to a renewed sense of cooperation and a better workplace environment.
Ms. Melissa G. Bautista, the resource person for the training, provided valuable insights and guided the participants through various concepts and practical applications. The training concluded with participants gaining a deeper understanding of how to apply generational and gender-based work concepts, contributing to a more harmonious and collaborative workplace.
The initiative underscores ATI-RTC XI's commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment, essential for the success and well-being of its staff and overall organizational growth.
