PLDT-Smart and Tiktok Philippines boosted e-commerce knwoledge of Davao region's cacao farmers on the second day of the pilot Training of Trainers for the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) on September 18, 2024, that helped them expand their knowledge on how to intricately facilitate DFP on their communities during roll out.ย
Ms. Riva Joy Yap, Seller Incubation Manager from Tiktok Philippines, introduced Tiktok not only as platform for brand awareness, but also as an e-commerce platform where cacao farmers and cooperatives can sell their products. Showing the cacao farmers on social media utilization for transactions while also sharing template and ย content ideas, and explained the effective schedule to post.
Mr. Kyle Adlawan, Account Manager for Food and Beverages from Tiktok Philippines, shared practical tips on selling products online and using affiliate marketing. Showing practical and easy to apply for the cacao cooperatives highlighting Tiktok's efficiency inย o reach more buyers
Mr. Romel Canaya, Stakeholder Management Specialist from PLDT-Smart, discussed digital payments, focusing on the Maya app. He explained how farmers can manage online payments, making it easier for them to handle transactions digitally.
In the afternoon, Ms. Assel Mapayo from ATI-RTC XI finished the DFP 102 module. She taught them about advanced agri-apps such as Accuweather, GPS Field Area Measurement, Spidtech, Canva, QR Code Generator. The cacao farmers were happy to have learned the applications that can help them in their everyday endeavour.ย
