Former Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Evelyn Laviña visited ATI-RTC XI on September 25, 2024, to discuss preparations for the upcoming International Floriculture Congress 2024. The City Government of Tagum, through the Tagum City Tourism Arts and Culture Council Inc., in partnership with the Floriculture Industry of Davao Inc. (FIDI) and Tagum City Garden Club, will host the International Floriculture Congress 2024 with the theme “Unity in Diversity: Floriculture Creating Harmony in the Landscape of Health and Wellness.” The event will take place from November 21-24, 2024, in Tagum City, Southern Mindanao, Philippines.
The congress aims to gather stakeholders, professionals, and experts to share ideas and experiences that will push Floriculture forward. This initiative also aligns with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s AmBisyon 2040, aiming to promote a cleaner and greener environment for all Filipinos, contributing to a more comfortable and secure life.
Participants will include ornamental growers and agriculture students, and the event will feature a plant exhibit and sale, landscaping and bonsai competitions, and a series of lectures.
