The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) hosted the Information Officers Network of Davao del Norteโs monthly meeting and learning session on September 19, 2024, in Panabo City. This month, the event brought together Information Officers from various cities and municipalities across the province to promote government services, particularly in project planning and agriculture.
The session focused on project design and the use of digital tools in farming. Participants included representatives from the Local Government Units of Panabo City, the Island Garden City of Samal, and the municipalities of Asuncion, New Corella, Talaingod, Dujali, and Carmen, along with agencies like the Social Security System, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, and the Department of Trade and Industry. ATI-RTC XI played a central role in facilitating this collaboration.
Center Director Alicia Rose Nebreja opened the event by highlighting ATI-RTC XI's dedication to agricultural development through practical training. She emphasized how knowledge-sharing can empower farmers to enhance their livelihoods and distributed tokens of appreciation featuring products from Learning Sites for Agriculture in Davao Region.
Mx. Marvelous Dainty Camilo then led an energizing Zumba session to uplift the participants, helping to shake off the fatigue from their long travels. Then,ย Information Officer II Ruby Jane Bentiroso followed with updates on ATIโs ongoing programs, emphasizing the instituteโs continued support for local farmers through training.
Provincial Planning Officer IV Princess Lyn N. Vistal delivered a session on effective project planning, offering strategies that align with community needs. Baby Glace R. Lanit introduced the Digital Farmers Program (DFP), demonstrating how digital tools can increase farming efficiency and sustainability, with further discussions on ATIโs e-Extension program.
The learning session highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in supporting Davao del Norte's farming communities. Afterward, ION President Michael Angelo Resueรฑo presided over the meeting, where members discussed updates and future network initiatives.
