To further encourage and increase the participation in agriculture amongst Filipino youth, the Agricultural Training Institute is offering the second batch of the Educational Assistance for the Youth (EAsY Agri) which shall commence on the First Semester of School Year 2022-2023.
EAsY Agri Program is a college scholarship in support of the children of smallholder farmers and fishers that aims to produce agricultural professionals and/or new breeds of farmers equipped with the necessary knowledge and technical skills to create agribusiness enterprises.
In Davao Region, ATI-XI is looking for 14 capable and deserving youth to realize their dream of pursuing a career in agriculture, fisheries, and other related fields including Agricultural Biosystems Engineering (ABE) and Veterinary Science.
The scholarship shall be granted through the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)/institutions nationwide that are offering any of these courses. Moreover, it shall cover at least four academic years of the scholar’s college education until the completion of the chosen degree course based on the prescribed duration of the program.
Here’s the list of eligibility requirements for interested applicants:
A Filipino citizen;
- Not more than 30 years old at the time of application to the scholarship;
- A son or daughter of a farmer/fisherfolk, whose parents are registered or have applied for registration in the RSBSA, with an annual gross income of not more than Php 120,000;
- A graduate of Senior High School who is willing to pursue a college degree in agriculture, fisheries, or any agri-related course;
- A passer of the entrance/qualifying examination or equivalent assessment prescribed by the school;
- Physically and mentally fit
- (An individual, including the differently-abled, who is capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of a scholar as stipulated in the Guidelines)
- Must not be a delinquent scholar of a previous scholarship;
- Must have no pending case
- Must not be related by consanguinity or affinity within the 2nd degree to any ATI employee (i.e. parent, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild, spouse, parent-in-law, daughter/ son-in-law)
If you believe you are eligible to apply, please comply with the following Documentary Requirements:
- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) copy of the birth certificate;
- Certification from the Municipal Agriculture Office that the applicant is a bonafide son/daughter of a small-scale farmer/fisherfolk with an RSBSA registration number or a Certification of filing for registration;
- Latest BIR-Income Tax Return (ITR) of the parent/guardian or Tax Exemption Certification issued by the BIR or a Certificate of Indigency issued by the Barangay Captain;
- Certified true copy of Senior High School Report Card (Form 138);
- Certified true copy of High School diploma to be submitted within one academic year from the acceptance in the scholarship.
- Registration Form or any proof of admission to a local University/ College;
- Certification of:
a) good health from a government physician with X-ray and negative drug test results, and
b) mental fitness issued by the Guidance Counselor of the scholar’s chosen University or from a government/private institution
Both must be taken within the last two months and be submitted only if the applicant qualifies for the shortlist.
8. Notarized Affidavit of non-delinquency in any previous scholarship signed by the applicant
9. Certification of good moral character from High School or the Barangay, or a Police Clearance
10. Notarized Affidavit of No Relation with any ATI Employee signed by the applicant
11. Accomplished Scholarship Application Form with a 2” x 2” picture
