The ATI-RTC XII, through its Halal Program headed by Engr. Mokles P. Buisan, conducted a Halal Consultation Meeting and CY 2024 Planning Workshop on February 28, 2023, at ATI RTC XI, Datu Abdul Dadia, Panabo City, Davao del Norte.

ATI RTC XI Center Director Alicia Rose B. Nebreja warmly welcomed the delegates from Regions 9, 10, 11, and 12. She expressed her appreciation for the time and efforts of the delegates to realize the said activity. 

National Halal Focal Person and ATI RTC XII Center Director Abdul I. Dayan also expressed his message of support to all halal interested parties and emphasized the importance of the meeting.

Halal Food Industry Development Program Head Ammar Yassir Baraguir gave an update on the halal industry and described Halal as a way of life, a dietary standard, a universal standard for food safety, and a multi-trillion industry. He also shared that Halal Board Industry created market matching among halal farms, restaurants, and hotels.

The workshop concluded with plans for training on goat and free-range chicken production, butchery with animal welfare, information caravans, and learning site for agriculture enhancements.

Moreover, Director Nebreja also led the tour at Contora Halal Slaughter House, a halal-certified slaughter house in the area. The tour showcased the butchery processes and maintenance they apply to their operation.
