The DA-ATI RTC XII through its Rice Program headed by Engr. Junrey L. Samillano conducted an activity in support of the National Rice Awareness Month Celebration and to reiterate the call to 'BeRICEponsible' at Barangay Borongotan, Nuro Upi, Maguindanao on November 24, 2022.

Present on the celebration were Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an, Maguindanao Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Jedhani Ulangkaya, MAFAR Maguindanao Senior Agriculturist Mohaimen Ali, Nuro Upi MMO Bernadette Francis, MAFC Mariano Real Sr. who joined the fifty farmers on the BeRiCEPOSiBLE Pledge and distribution of 20 kgs of rice per participant as extension support.

The activity also intends to elevate local public support on healthier rice production, consumption patterns, and alternatives in the Philippines through a multi-modal and interactive information-dissemination campaign. It also continuously intensifies efforts towards achieving rice self-sufficiency and increased farmers income.
