LANTAWAN, BASILAN - A farmer-level Training on Native Cattle Production and Management was conducted last September 6-8, 2023, at Tairan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Agricultural MPC, Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan. The training was attended by farmers from different barangays in Lantawan.

PCA-Basilan Senior Agriculturist Onesima Hawayan and the Cooperative Manager Mr. Carpio welcomed the participants. Lemuel M. Soriano of PCA-Basilan and Musir S. Nayang of MAFAR-Basilan discussed the Native Cattle Production and Management topics, which included: Native cattle breeds and their characteristics, housing and management, feeding and nutrition, disease prevention and control, marketing and product development

The training was conducted in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
