PATIKUL, SULU - Local farmers participated in a crucial workshop focused on Native Cattle Production and Management. This three-day program, held at the Kankitap Consumers Cooperative (KCC) in Latih from September 27 to 29, 2023, aimed to bolster the skills and knowledge of coconut farmers in the region.

The training session was inaugurated with a motivational address by Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an, expressing gratitude for the participants and partner organizations. Key figures from the local agricultural sector, including PCA Sulu Division Chief Nur-Aina B. Inkagan, PCA-Sulu Agriculturist Alfahar Saiddi, and Sulu MAFAR Municipal Officer Mudjamier S. Hailid, were present, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the initiative.

Led by MAFAR Maguindanao Livestock Focal Person Saban Belongan, the training provided a comprehensive overview of the subject matter. Practical insights were reinforced through a farm tour in Barangay Latih, Patikul, Sulu, offering participants a firsthand experience in native cattle production techniques. This initiative underscores the importance of skill enhancement and knowledge dissemination in local farming communities.
