General Santos City- Engr. Teofilo T. Jumawan, Planning Officer II, and Ms. Gladys Hazel E. Café, Technical Support Staff II, proudly represented the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) at the Regional Food Safety Summit held on February 13, 2025, at Venue 88 Resort and Events Place, General Santos City. 


The summit, themed “Pagkaing Ligtas at Sapat Kaagapay sa Maunlad na Bagong Pilipinas,” brought together key agencies such as DA XII, BPI XII, PCA, BAI, NMIS XII, NDA XII, BFAR XII, RAFC XII, along with farmers and exhibitors, emphasizing the shared commitment to ensuring safe and sufficient food for all.


The event served as a vital platform for Food Safety Regulatory Agencies (FSRAs) to present their ongoing programs and address pressing concerns raised by certified food operators. Discussions focused on strengthening food safety measures, resolving industry challenges, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. 


Beyond policy dialogues, the summit also highlighted the hard work of local farmers and producers through a market linkage activity, enabling them to showcase their products and connect with potential buyers. 
Through ATI-RTC XII’s active participation, the institute reaffirmed its role in promoting agricultural excellence and empowering communities toward a more resilient and food-secure nation.
