ATI National Deputy Director Ms Antonieta J. Arceo graced the RCEF Farmer's Field School (FFS) at Barangay Midpapan, Pigcawayan, Cotabato.


In her message, she highlighted the importance of continuous learning. She also emphasized that the RCEF is one of the government's programs and support system to help increase the country's rice production and make rice farmers more competitive.

Meanwhile, Philippine Rice Research Institute Deputy Director Dr. Karen Barroga also attended the activity along with National Rice Program Deputy Director Mr. Glenn Estrada and PhilRice Midsayap Experiment Station OIC-Branch Director Mr. Ommal Abdulkadil.

GBS III Agro Farms Owner and Cooperator Mr. Gregorio B. Saljay thanked them for their presence and support. He ensured that programs like FFS will reach and benefit more farmers.


Facilitated by RCEF Farm Schools, the Farmer's Field School  is one of the programs under the RCEF Extension Component that aims to capacitate the rice farmers on new and emerging rice technologies towards improved productivity. This is being implemented by TESDA through Farm Schools and assisted by ATI, PhilRice and PhilMech.
