General Santos City-The Agricultural Training Institute-SOCCSKARGEN (ATI-RTC XII) and Mindanao State University-General Santos City (MSU-Gensan) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last April 4, 2025 to institutionalize the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) within the university.

MSU-Gensan Chancellor, Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, MDM, LLM, emphasized his administration's commitment to research, extension, and innovation programs aimed at sustainable development. “We hope these projects, once implemented, can be sustained and have a lasting impact. Our administration is both supportive and aggressive in efforts to further improve extension programs,” he stated.

The MOA signing featured a presentation by ATI-RTC XII's OIC-Assistant Center Director Hannadi Guiamad-Pompong, who outlined the institute's 2025 Work and Financial Plan. This was followed by a briefing on ATI's Techno Gabay and e-Extension Programs, conducted by OIC-Chief ISS John Lord L. Auman.

Dr. Ronna Ria J. Canacan and Dr. Cristen P. Peñafel, College Deans of Agriculture and Fisheries respectively, expressed gratitude for the partnership. They emphasized that the agreement formalizes a collaborative effort to advance agricultural and fishery extension initiatives.

Under the MOA, ATI and MSU-Gensan will: engage University professors and instructors as Subject Matter Experts in ATI training and extension activities; share research-based agricultural and fishery information through IEC materials and publications; develop packaged technologies and e-Learning courses; require agriculture and fisheries students to complete at least five e-Learning certificates before their On-the-Job Training; and collaborate on impact evaluation studies and research.

The Office of the Extension Director of MSU-Gensan, led by Dr. Keno Jay M. Balogbog, played a pivotal role in realizing this partnership.
