Malabang, Lanao del Sur – JDD Farm, located in Barangay Madaya, Malabang, Lanao del Sur, was officially launched as a Coco-based Learning Site for Agriculture I on January 16, 2025.
The ceremony began with the awarding of the Certificate of Learning Site and a financial support cheque to LSA Cooperator Jaloud D. Daing. These were presented by Engr. Mokles P. Buisan, ATI HALAL Focal Person, on behalf of OIC-Center Director Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Daing expressed heartfelt gratitude and a steadfast commitment to the goals of the LSA program.
Messages of support were delivered by representatives of partner agencies, including the Provincial Agriculture Office-Lanao del Sur, the Local Government Unit of Malabang, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform–BARMM, the Cooperative and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA), and the Philippine Coconut Authority–BARMM.
The formalization of the partnership was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement by the LSA Cooperator, the LSA Focal Person, and a witness. Engr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, LSA Focal Person, then declared the Learning Site officially open and delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the initiative’s role in promoting sustainable coconut farming and empowering local communities.
The event was successfully facilitated by ATI staff members Mercedita G. Aglibot, Jane G. Diacoma, and Anareystel P. Lape.
