AXIAA HOTEL, Quezon City – The Binhi ng Pag-asa Program (BPP) National Summit and Year-End Assessment has officially commenced today, December 19, 2022 with a theme “YouthLEADS: Harnessing Youth Leadership in Entrepreneurship Towards Agricultural Development and Sustainability.
"You are the future." This was the powerful message of OIC Director IV of ATI Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III as she delivered her opening remarks to inspire the youth participants. Director Recoter challenged these empowered young agripreneurs to continually take part in enhancing the agricultural and fisheries sector in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, Mr. Brian Poe-Llamanzares, Chief of Staff from OSGP and son of Senator Grace Poe, presented the BPP Accomplishments throughout the third year of implementation of the program. Mr. Llamanzares extended his warmest appreciation to the partner agencies for supporting the program that aims to increase the engagement of the youth into farming. Since its inception in 2017, the BPP has now trained over 15,000 youth beneficiaries.
Also present in the program was Department of Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban and delivered his message of support.
Afterwards, one of the highlights of the program was the Launching and Turnover of Pagyabong Magazine.
The summit and assessment were attended by a total of 120 participants coming from eight provinces particularly; Tarlac, Batangas, Bataan, Iloilo, Zamboanga Sibugay, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro and North Cotabato.
Among the participants from Region XII were Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an, BPP Focal Person John Lord Auman, PMO I Gladys Hazel Cafe and Rahima Andong, AAI Kissciel Rubi, Provincial 4-H Focal Person of Cotabato Ms Judy C. Gomez and contest participants.
