BATUAN, Bohol- The visit to Jolit’s Eco-Garden FITS Kiosk proved to be both educational and inspiring for the FITS Center Manager and Staff of Region 12 and BARMM. The owner warmly welcomed them and shared extensive knowledge about the farm’s sustainable practices, particularly their successful bee farming initiative.
A key highlight was the farm’s commitment to turtle conservation, in partnership with the Department of Energy and Natural Resources (DENR). Each year, the farm breeds turtles and releases them back into the wild, demonstrating their dedication to environmental stewardship.
The group was impressed by how the farm has maximized its limited space, showcasing that even a small area can be transformed into a thriving eco-farm through careful planning and resourcefulness. A valuable part of the visit was the FITS-Kiosk of the farm where it serves as a learning hub for visiting farmers and clients.
